Number changes on Argyle players training kits could be significant
ALL THE Argyle players on the trip to the Netherlands have a number on their training kit, and several are different from last season.
For example, striker Steve MacLean has been allocated 32 rather than 9.
That is another indication the 27-year-old may not be with the Pilgrims for much longer.
MacLean spent the final three months of last term on loan to Aberdeen.
He returned to Argyle for the start of pre-season, however, with another 12 months remaining on his contract.
MacLean scored one of the goals in the 2-0 win at Truro City on July 10.
Jim Paterson also had an injury-disrupted loan spell at Aberdeen last term, but is now part of the Pilgrims' squad again.
However, the number on his training kit is 29, compared to 3 as previously.
The number 3 has been inherited by centre-back Bondz N'Gala, who was signed by Argyle from West Ham United over the summer.
Another new recruit, Northern Ireland international striker Rory Patterson, has been handed number 8.
There are three trialists at the Pilgrims' training camp.
Left-sided player Tony Capaldi is wearing 13, American midfielder Anton Peterlin 28 and Bermudan goalkeeper Freddy Hall 30.

“What is Marcel Seip's squad number?”

“The numbers above are the players that are actually on tour at the minute. Rory Fallon is back in Plymouth as i saw him last night on the Barbican, as for Marcel Seip, i believe his wife is due to give birth, hence why he is not there. So i reckon the Hearld are making stuff up again so that they can fill pages and get a story together.”

“Looks fundamentally credible as there are several gaps in the sequence; Rory Fallon is still away, and his number 14 isn't listed, so presumably it's just those on tour. Shame about No.23 though, but unfortunately doesn't seem to have got over that head injury :-(”

“So what has happened to Onismor Bhasera? Our African Ashley Cole, I know he's currently injured but still no squad number is a bit curious! Same could be said for Seip, although are these not just the players currently on tour so are the Heralrd are just making stuff up again?”
