Town soldiers joining parade
SPECIAL permission has been given for four Tiverton members of the Household Cavalry to attend this year's Remembrance Day service in the town.
Staff Corporal Jamie Broom and Trooper Sam Gasan, from the Blues and Royals, will join Trooper Sam Been and Trooper Josh Kennard-Smith, of the Lifeguards, for the march through Tiverton to St Peter's Church on Sunday, November 11.
Poppy Appeal organiser Ray Broom asked the regiment's commanding officer for permission for the four to be released from duties for the event.
Mr Broom, of Queensway, is Staff Corporal Broom's father. He said: "It should make this year's parade a bit special."
