Trewin Design hold Bude Sea Pool Charity Swim
Trewin Design Partnership of Holsworthy organised the one hour swimathon held on Sunday 21st October as part of their 40th Anniversary Olympic themed sporting celebrations. Throughout the year they have held a sponsored 10k run and a Dartmoor 4 Tors walk raising money for their chosen charity Devon Air Ambulance Trust. Their next event is an indoor Karting event on the 6 November at Raceworld in Exeter. There will also be a 440km cycling challenge taking place in Spring 2013.
Eleven teams entered the swim, with over fifty participants taking on the demanding challenge. The race ended in a tie with Charlestown Waterpolo Club and Hammond H20 both finishing on 45 lengths. This resulted in a swim off in which Hammond H20 put in a very strong swim but couldn't hold off Charlestown Waterpolo Club who finished with the trophy.
Louise Dart and Hannah Garlick of Trewin Design said 'It was fantastic to see so many people at the sea pool on Sunday, there was a lovely atmosphere and buzz around the pool. We would really like to thank The Beach at Bude for providing the hot soup and Resist Security Services Ltd for their kind donations to the goody bags. Also the Lifeguards, FoBSP, counters, supporters, friends, family and colleagues all who helped make the day a great success'.
All the teams sponsorship will be divided up between Friends of Bude Sea Pool and their chosen Charity / Organisation.
