Tributes follow unexpected death of Ben Foulds
Tributes have been paid to former Petroc student Ben Foulds who was found dead at his home yesterday.
The 20-year-old was discovered by his father yesterday morning (October 2). The cause of death is currently unknown.
Ben became well-known locally after he was involved in an accident on Old Sticklepath Hill in Barnstaple in November 2010.
He had been riding his bike down the hill when he collided with the railings and suffered severe head and spinal injuries which left him paraplegic.

Ben was known for his inspiring attitude and non-stop smile.
He had been living on his own in a specially adapted flat in Daventry, Northamptonshire.
His solicitor, Mike Clark, said Ben was in the process of pursuing a multi-million pound legal battle for compensation at the time of his death.
Mr Clark said Ben had showed immense fortitude and resilience in the face of his life changing injuries.
He said: "I met Ben when he was in the specialist spinal unit in Odstock hospital, Salisbury; and twice in his adapted flat in Daventry, where he moved to be closer to his father, Andy.
"He always impressed me with his common-sense, determination and complete absence of self-pity.
"He had recently enrolled in a local college to take up his studies again, was planning to learn to drive and had settled into his home with his pet cat.
"He was forging ahead in re-building his life and I feel sure he would have gone on to achieve great things.
"It was a privilege to have known and acted for him and my deepest condolences go to his family and friends."
