Trio of ex-internationals in charity cup tie
FORMER internationals Tony Daley, Lee Hendrie and Mark Kinsella are all among a provisional Aston Villa Old Stars squad taking on Torbay Police in their latest annual fundraising next month.
The trio are among a star-studded squad due to play in the annual Gentleman Jim Charity Cup at Newton Abbot's Coach Road on Sunday, July 21 (2.30pm).
Daley (pictured right) and Hendrie both gained full England caps, while Kinsella racked up 48 caps for the Republic of Ireland, including appearances at the 2002 World Cup.
Torbay Police took on Tottenham Hotspur Legends at the same venue and attracted more than 1,500 people.

Organiser Lee Langley said the team hoped to break the 2,000 mark for this year's charity match, which is the main focus on an entire day of events.
There will also be appearances from Titan the Robot, and free kids' coaching sessions by Torquay United first-team players Kevin Nicholson and Lee Mansell during the day, which opens its gates at 9.30am.
Langley said: "We're up to roughly £18,500 raised so far and we just want to push above the £20,000-mark.
"The big difference from last year is the team we're playing and Titan the Robot.
"But we're also hoping to have a few different and related side-shows.
"We had 1,512 through the day last year, and would like to push that into the 2,000-mark if we can."
There will also be regular attractions such as a bouncy castle, BBQ and a raffle/auction with prizes including an iPad.
It is hoped that a Police dog show will be held during the day, while an additional 'novelty' match is planned prior to the main event.
Langley said further funds would be raised by an auction for a 30-minute playing spot on the Aston Villa Old Stars team.
Tickets are now on sale at Torquay / Newton Abbot Police Station and the Devon FA Ground, Newton Abbot.
They are the usual price of £3 minimum donation with all profits from the day going to three charities: The Rowcroft Hospice, The Children's Hospice SW and the Aston Villa Former Players Foundation.
