Truro and Tivvy suffer road defeats
TRURO City and Tiverton Town were both beaten 2-1 away in the Zamaretto Southern League Premier Division last night.
City lost at Chippenham, this despite taking a 52nd minute lead through Andy Watkins. Alex Kite levelled in the 78th minute and four minutes later Bluebirds' top scorer Lewis Powell claimed the winner.

Tiverton top scorer Joe Bushin's 71st minute leveller cancelled out Ryan Rowe's 26th minute opener but nine minutes later the Glassboys' striker scored his second to clinch the home win.
Elsewhere, Toolstation Western League leaders Bideford won 2-0 against basement side Corsham Town at the Sports Ground.
Nick Barker fired Sean Joyce's Robins ahead from the edge of the box in the first half and Ellis Laight made it 2-0 in the 80th minute .
Welton were held 1-1 at home by sixth-placed Willand Rovers, Dawlish Town moved up to 11th following their 1-0 win at Radstock courtesy of Kris Davis' winner while Bristol Manor Farm went fifth after beating Barnstaple Town 1-0.
In the Westinsure Cornwall Senior Cup Bodmin Town beat Penryn Athletic 4-0 in the semi-final at Blaise Park. Town opened their account on 17 minutes through Chris Luxton, who two minutes later doubled his tally from the penalty spot after Dave Blizzard was adjudged to have handled in the area.
It was not until on the hour that Bodmin added their third with Tom Chambers converting a Nick Campbell corner from close range. Luxton then completed his hat-trick four minutes from time.
Buckland Athletic beat Elburton Villa 5-2 at Homers Heath to open a seven-point gap at the top of the Carlsberg South West Peninsula League Premier Division.
Buckland had to come from behind after Chris Maskell had headed Villa into a third minute lead. However, the title-chasing South Devon club hit back through Luke Horrocks on 20 minutes.
Two goals from Gavin Hammon, in the 30th and 35th minutes, saw the home side lead 3-1 at the break with Antony Lynch notching their fourth five minutes after the break. Villa pulled a goal back through Steve Sims before Lynch scored his second of the night.
A goal in each half, from Josh Grant and Liam Thornton, saw Torpoint win 2-0 at Liskeard, while Chris Wright gave Parkway the lead at home to Ivybridge, who equalised through Ryan McClements.
Tavistock were given a fright at Edge Down Park where goals from Jake Crush and Steve Ebdy saw Witheridge leading 2-0. Will Stringer then saw his penalty kick saved by Josh Wannell, but the Tavistock skipper then headed them level on the stroke of half-time.
The second half belonged to the visitors, Glyn Hobbs hitting a hat-trick to complete a 4-2 win.
