Twin town's return to Narnia
THE longstanding joke of Totnes being twinned with the mystical town of Narnia has returned.
This addition to the Welcome to Totnes sign appeared over the weekend to greet drivers heading in to town along the A385 road from Dartington.

It was last painted on back in 2006 and 2011 but this version looks to come from a stencil print.
Totnes is normally twinned with the French town of Vire, but jokers have decided it has more in common with lions, witches and wardrobes.

Matt Harvey, Totnes poet, famously claimed: "If Totnes is twinned with Narnia, then Newton Abbot is twinned with Despair."
