OXFORD have reached the southern section quarter-finals of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy with two impressive victories.

The U's won 1-0 at home to nearby rivals Swindon Town in the first round on September 5.

Midfielder Alfie Potter scored the only goal of the game in the 88th minute, as nearly 8,000 fans flocked to the Kassam stadium for the clash.

That win earned Oxford an away tie against Cheltenham Town in round two on October 9 and they won 4-2.

Argyle had a bye in the JPT first round before beating Aldershot Town 2-1 at Home Park on October 9, with goals from Paris Cowan-Hall and Andres Gurrieri.
