Exmoor's Tarr Steps clapper bridge was reopened today after being almost totally destroyed by a wall of floodwater at Christmas.
The rebuild took seven men just days and cost Somerset ratepayers under £10,000 - a far cry from the engineering job exactly 60 years ago when it took 50 sappers from the Royal Engineers two months put Tarr Steps back together after flood damage.
WMN editor-at-large Martin Hesp has been talking to Kenny Higgins, the engineer in charge of the rebuild, about the problems his team faced over the past week...
