VIDEO & PHOTO: Ilfracombe dolphin, Dave, replaced by Doris
RESCUE Day had an unexpected visitor this year in the form of a friendly dolphin.
But rumour has it Dave, who has become infamous in the town and even has his own Facebook page, has been replaced.
It is said the dolphin currently inhabiting the waters around Ilfracombe is a different one, due to its marking and size.
And local RNLI members have reportedly already nicknamed it Doris.

Spectators at this year's Rescue Day gathered eagerly at the sea wall to catch a glimpse of the dolphin jumping out of the water.
He swam in and around the various boats in the harbour, putting on a real show for his audience.
