VIDEO: One-eyed pug and stunt sausage dog star in action movie
Given the choice between watching paint dry and viewing a corporate video about industrial plastics manufacturing, most people would probably plump for the emulsion pot.
But a hilarious tongue-in cheek mini-movie adventure starring a one-eyed pug called Tubby and a doleful stunt sausage dog called Duke is already creating a YouTube following.
The two-and-a-half minute online action adventure follows the pair from Dartmoor to the headquarters of manufacturer Pipex in Plymouth’s Roborough.
Here they are fascinated to learn how the company makes massive pipes, can replace rusty bridges and manufacture all manner of marvellous things from plastic.

The barking mad action is accompanied by a series of wobbly info-graphics and the kind of frenzied voiceover that more usually heralds the beginning of a 365-day leather furniture sale.
The film was the brainchild of Pipex’s chief marketing and communications director Sarah Raynor and shot by Totnes production company SmartDreamers.
And while making people laugh, it's hoped that the video will bring new business to the company's door.
She said: “My colleagues were a bit nervous about it, but it’s been received really well. We’ve even had a couple of enquiries - which never usually happens when we send corporate videos out – they’re normally very strait-laced.”
Filming took place over a couple of days, with enough footage in the can to make a further two episodes starring Sarah’s dog Tubby and Duke, who belongs to chief executive Tom Smith.
“They were well rewarded and got a lot of chicken treats,” says Sarah.
“They did really well, considering neither of them know how to ‘sit.’”
