Weather shows why we need an airport
WELL that showed how poor our travel infrastructure is.
Railway under water, trees down over main arterial roads, what a mess.
With this in mind now is the time for everybody to get behind the bid to re-open the airport.
Surely there cannot be anybody who could protest against it now!

Please send in your objections to the planning debacle put forward by the SHG. All they are doing is putting obstacles in the way of Viable and I would guess there are some powerful people aiding them.
I would like three questions answered please. Firstly, as there were over 70 per cent of businesses that support the opening of the airport why has the Chamber of Commerce not come out and supported it. Secondly, where has the £11m gone that SHG acquired from the sale of the airport land when, under the S106 rule, the whole amount should have been put back into upgrading the airport? Lastly to Tudor Evans, who is responsible for the 150 year lease and the Armageddon clause – I have sent you e-mails and letters and all you have done is sent a long letter that said nothing. You have delayed everything by asking the PM for help. You are the leader of the council and should be helping with the airport not putting useless suggestions forward. Please, all the above don't hide, come out and tell the owners of the Airport, Plymothians, what you are doing.
