POLICE are hunting thieves who stole wedding rings from an elderly woman's home.

Burglars forced open the back door of the pensioner's property in the Brentfields area of Looe, in South East Cornwall, on the morning of January 15.

The owner, a woman in her 80s, returned home to find burglars had searched her home and stolen two wedding bands and a diamond engagement ring.

Police have appealed for anyone with information about the burglary, which happened between 9.40am and noon, to come forward.
