Welshman Bebb still the man to beat after Swansea pro-am win
Welsh ace Sion Bebb achieved his fifth PGA West Region win of the season with a sparkling seven-under-par 63 to win the Gwalia Housing Trust pro-am at Langland Bay, Swansea.
A day after finishing runner-up in the Microsoft Services Masters at Bowood, the PGA West Region Race to Woodbury Park order of merit leader returned to Wales to produce another impressive display of crisp ball-striking.
Despite dropping a shot at the sixth, he produced a best-of-the-day haul of eight birdies and signed for ten threes. He was out in three-under-par 33 and back in four-under 30.
Richard Dinsdale (Parc Golf Academy) was 44-year-old Bebb's closest challenger three shots behind. Liam Bond (Marriott St Pierre) winner the previous day at Bowood, shared third with Alun Evans (Newport Links) on 68.

Bond's second PGA West Region order of merit win at Bowood means he is tied second in the Race to Woodbury Park leaderboard following three events.
Devon-based professional Paul Hendriksen (Dinnaton Golf Club) and Bond are tied on 540 points, 50 behind Bebb ahead of this month's eagerly-anticipated PGA West Region Players' Championship at Cumberwell Park, Bradford-on-Avon on July 16 and 17.
Hendriksen will be among a strong field of Cornish and Devon-based professionals for the Rotary Club of St Austell Bay Pro-Am at Carlyon Bay on Sunday, while, on Monday, Welsh duo Bebb and Dinsdale are set to travel to Cornwall to play in the St Mellion International Resort Pro-Am, part of a special week to celebrate the Jack Nicklaus Signature Course's 25th anniversary.
Hendriksen will also compete at St Mellion next Monday.
Gloucestershire Ladies will represent the region in the England Golf Women's County finals for a third successive time following their clean sweep at Inter Counties Match Play Week at Woodbury Park.
Gloucestershire beat Dorset 5½-3½ on the final day at Woodbury to end the week with five wins, while Cornwall again finished runners-up following a 7-2 win over Wiltshire to pip hosts Devon – who beat Somerset 7-2 – by just half a point.
Cornwall's Sarah Jane-Boyd (Truro Golf Club) will represent England in the European Ladies' Team Championships at Fulford Golf Club, York, which start next Tuesday.
