Wheelchair athlete James to carry torch for Paralympics
BRIXHAM disabled athlete James Price has been selected to carry the Paralympian torch in the flame lighting relay.
The former Brixham College pupil broke his neck in a diving accident while on holidays in Majorca with his then girlfriend at the time, former Miss Torbay Jenna Hext.

He has since become a prominent sportsman, taking up wheelchair rugby and more recently athletics.
While he will not be competing, he will be taking part in the relay on Tuesday.

Mr Price, 34, said he had to move out of the Bay to Nottingham four years ago to pursue his passions because of a lack of disabled sporting facilities in the South West.
He headed home to Brixham this week before the big day to see his family.
He said: "I still live in Nottingham for wheelchair athletics purposes. I'm also developing a new hotel booking website which will be the first to include an access grading scheme and real time booking of accessible rooms.
"My parents Cath and Tony have obviously been through the mill with me, but I hope I can make them proud when I carry the Paralympian torch.
"It will be a privilege and nice to have all the hard work Paralympians put in recognised."
Mr Price has played wheelchair rugby for a long time and has been a Torbay sports personality of the year a couple of times.
He tried out for the 2012 Paralympics in wheelchair athletics sprinting, but was unsuccessful.
However, he will be guest pundit during the Channel 4 coverage for athletics on August 31 on the afternoon show and for the wheelchair rugby on September 9.
