Edmund Kelly of Whimple, who is a Year 7 student at Colyton Grammar School, has won the London Junior Chess Championships Under 12s competition.

The event took place voer three days and took place in Harrow.

Edmund said, “It was one of the hardest tournaments I’ve ever been to.”

Edmund has collected a £100 prize and a prestigious trophy.
