Welsh pens new Yeovil deal
WINGER Andy Welsh has committed his future to Yeovil Town after agreeing a two-year deal with the Somerset club.
The 25 year-old Mancunian made 37 appearances for the Glovers last season and, although he failed to score, he topped the Coca-Cola League One club's 'assists' chart with seven.

"I like it down here at Yeovil and I have enjoyed playing for the team. I'm really looking forward to settling in the area and I can't wait for the new season," Welsh said.
The winger will officially sign the deal when the players return for pre-season training on Wednesday, and manager Terry Skiverton expects to see more from the former Stockport County, Sunderland and Blackpool wide man next season.
"I'm really pleased to have agreed a new deal with Andy," Skiverton said. "He's been here with us for a season and I'm sure he will go on and make a significant contribution to the squad next season.
Meanwhile, Gary Johnson and Colin Lippiatt will take charge of the two teams competing in Skiverton's testimonial match on Saturday.
Johnson, who guided the Glovers to both the Conference championship and League Two title in the space of three years, will oversee the Yeovil Town 2002-03 Conference winning squad, which currently includes 20 past players.
Lippiatt will take charge of the Terry Skiverton Select XI, which will be captained by Chelsea and England skipper John Terry.
YEOVIL fans will have a chance to meet the management in the Alec Stock Lounge at Huish Park on Sunday, July 26 (5pm).
The event follows the Family Fun Day at Huish Park and tickets for the event are priced at £5. That includes lasagne or vegetable lasagne and salad and free entry into a prize draw.
Numbers are limited to 120, though, and tickets will be sold on a first-come first-served basis from the ticket office.
