Woman accused of murdering mother to stand trial in April
A WOMAN accused of murdering her mother is not set to face trial until at least April next year.
Angela Douglas, aged 49, has denied murdering the 73-year-old. She is alleged to have murdered Anne Matthews between April 27 and April 30.
Plymouth Crown Court has identified a date some time in April next year for her trial, expected to take a week.
Douglas, of Redhill Close, Ernesettle, did not appear in court for the latest hearing.
She is being held at Eastwood Park prison near Bristol.
Judge Graham Cottle extended the time Douglas can legally be held in custody until the end of that month. Her custody time limit had been due to expire on October 29.
Douglas worked at the Build-A -Bear Workshop in Old Town Street in the city centre.
