Woman avoids prison after kicking man in violent racist attack
THIS is the moment a Sudanese man was attacked and racially abused in a city centre street.
Caught on film laying in the boot is 18-year-old Aghdas Pye who was last week found guilty of racially-aggravated assault causing actual bodily harm to Saleh Rashid.

Yesterday, Pye of Barne Road, Barne Barton, was given a suspended prison term when she reappeared before Plymouth Crown Court to be sentenced.
The incident happened on March 4 last year near Plymouth Pannier Market.
Prosecutor David Gittins reminded trial Judge Francis Gilbert QC that one witness, student Jason Barker, reported the incident to the police on his mobile phone, followed Pye and two men with her in his car and blocked their taxi in, preventing their getaway until police arrived.
He then travelled from Birmingham to give evidence at the two-day trial at Plymouth Crown Court.
Judge Gilbert commented: "I commend him very much for doing that."
Mr Gittins said Pye, was who was convicted in 2009 of punching someone in the face, had inflicted most of the violence on Mr Rashid.
Jason Beal, for Pye, said she now worked in sales between 10am and 9pm as far afield as Exeter.
Judge Gilbert told Pye that from what he saw on the CCTV footage during the trial, Mr Rashid had slapped her first.
"You retaliated way beyond self-defence, hitting him with a good left hook and kicking him repeatedly," he said.
"This was unseemly behaviour for a young woman."
He sentenced Pye to 12 months in jail but suspended it for two years.
He also imposed nine months' supervision by the Probation Service and a 10pm-7am tagged curfew for three months.
He made no order for compensation.
Her co-defendant Ricky Moon, aged 25 and of Lockyer's Quay, Bretonside, will be sentenced on February 16 after being convicted of the same offence.
He was granted unconditional bail.

“Real anti-social folk like this get a suspended sentence and I'm looking at a custodial for growing my own cannabis for medical reason. I was on chemo last year. This society is just so sick when peaceful cannabis grower are being sent to prison and folk like this young "lady" walk the street. So very sad. Wake up. “From Judge Gilbert "This was unseenly for a young woman" . No s**t Sherlock. It should read This is normal behaviour from an unseemly young woman. Does he ever leave his no doubt gorgeous country house other than to preside over rubbish in a provincial Crown Court. That man really needs to get a grip, visit the streets where his customers crawl from rock to rock, and stop imagining himself summing up in the 1960's......”

“It doesn't matter what ethnic group this man belongs to this woman is a thug and should be treated accordingly. When are our spineless courts going to actually punish someone? It's time more thought was given to the victims and less to the offenders.”
