Woman cut free from car crash on A386 at Grenofen

A two-car crash in Tavistock has left a woman in hospital.

The collision was reported to police at 1:45pm today and involved a grey Audi A4 TDI and a red Peugeot 205 XLD.

The crash occurred outside the Half Way House and left the female driver of the Peugeot complaining of chest and neck pains.

The fire service were called and cut off the roof of the Peugeot using hydraulic equipment to allow safe removal of the 68-year-old woman.

Th crash also left a diesel spill and debris on the road which was still being cleared at 5:30pm.

She was taken to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth by ambulance with chest injuries and suspected fractures.
