Woman cut free after three cars collide at Newton Poppleford

A serious traffic collision on the A3052 Newton Poppleford on Saturday afternoon left a woman trapped in her vehicle.

 

Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service received a call about the incident and sent fire appliances from Middlemoor and Sidmouth to the site.

On arrival crews found that three vehicles had collided and that a woman was trapped in one of the vehicles.

Firefighters cut her free, using cutting rescue equipment, and the injured motorists were conveyed to hospital by ambulance.
