Woman struck by kite on beach is airlifted to hospital
A woman was airlifted to hospital after being hit by a large kite on a beach in East Devon.
The accident happened at Sandy Bay, near Exmouth, on Friday afternoon.
Exmouth coastguards were called to assist the ambulance service in recovering the 40-year-old, who had suffered neck injuries.
The casualty was evacuated by air ambulance at around 5pm.
