Work starts on Plymouth's winter ice rink
CHILDREN and adults alike will soon be able to explore a magical winter wonderland of fun – right in the city centre.
Plymouth's winter ice rink is being assembled and will open to the public on Saturday , and remain open for 18 weeks of skating until Sunday February 24.

The ice rink starts to take shape in the Piazza
As well as regular skating sessions from 9am - 8.15pm Monday to Saturday and 9am – 6.15pm Sunday, the outdoor rink will be hosting a range of special events, including schools sessions during term time, ice skating lessons, private hire, parties, shows and breakfast with Santa.
Holly Nuttall, assistant City Centre Manager, said, "The winter ice rink is one of the highlights of the Winter Festival. Outdoor skating sessions are the perfect way to start feeling festive, whether it's for a fun day out with friends, romantic date night or family treat."
