"So many people feel that their lives would make an interesting book," said author Sophie King who will lead the session. "My workshop will provide a golden opportunity to start that journey whether you are an experienced writer or have written nothing since schooldays."

The workshop is on Thursday, September 20, from 10am until 12.30pm at the Church on the Green. Tickets are £5 available from Wendy Spicer by calling, 01395 232486 or 07989 369887.

Later in the day at the same venue, between 2pm and 5pm, a medley of writers will present excerpts of their works. And between 7pm and 9.30pm at the Temple Church Five Minutes of Fame, an open mic night for writers, will take place.
