Is there an alternative if family evicted from layby?

I NOTICED that Devon County Council has served an eviction notice on the family living in the layby between Tiverton and Cove near to Washfield Weir.

They have been there for around a year, keeping the site tidy and even have recycling boxes collected fortnightly.

They also appear to send their children to school.

I have noticed they are not the usual sort who use local land and leave an eyesore behind when moving on.

If the county council removes this family, will they provide them with a permanent legal site allowing the family to continue a settled existence and their children to continue their education?

If not is there any benefit in carrying out these legal tasks, apart from flexing their muscles?

Not knowing all the facts I can only comment on what I see.

It would be interesting to know if Devon County Council or Mid Devon District Council or other agency has offered an alternative long-term site for this family
