Two arrests in Plymouth drug probe

TWO men have been arrested after police searched properties and discovered around £60,000 of suspected amphetamine.

A 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs after officers searched an address in Leigham. It is understood three mobile phones and around £1,000 cash was seized from the property.

At an address in Mainstone officers arrested a 47-year-old man on conspiracy to supply Class A drugs and possession with intent to supply Class B drugs after officers discovered six kilos of a white powder which they believed to be amphetamine.

Both men were taken to Charles Cross police station for questioning before being released on police bail until February 13, 2013, pending further inquiries.
