A FESTIVE date for your diary is Saturday, November 24, when Plymouth Raiders mascot Foxy is set to open a Christmas fair.

The colourful character is to open the event at the Woolwell Centre situated in Darklake Lane where a variety of activities are on offer to young and old alike.

If you are shopping for Christmas presents there will be a wide range of goods being sold at 56 stalls, some craft and some table top, selling items such as jewellery and cards.

There will be a bouncy castle, play area and face painting for youngsters as well as the chance to visit Father Christmas in his grotto.

Local businesses have generously donated prizes for the Tombola and raffle including a family ticket for a Plymouth Raiders match, tickets for Plymouth Albion and much more.

Visitors can take a break in the on-site cafe serving food and drinks and there will also be a fully licensed bar open on the day.

Just go along to the Woolwell Centre where the grand opening takes place at 12pm with fun and activities continuing until 3pm.
