Re-brand for signage specialist
A SIGNAGE specialist has undergone a re-branding as it looks to build links with the city's business community.
The Sign Shop is part of the manufacturing services section of social housing provider Plymouth Community Homes.
It appointed Plymouth brand specialists Fuel Communications to create a new identity.
The re-brand comes as part of major renovation for The Sign Shop, which is also set to move into new, larger premises at Plymouth Community Homes' manufacturing depot at Prince Rock.
Greg Tooze, head of the manufacturing services team, said: "We have invested significantly in The Sign Shop over the past two years; as well as installing new state-of-the-art machinery we have added to the team.
"We feel the re-brand is an important step. We are keen to raise awareness of what we can do for businesses."
The team at The Sign Shop has more than 100 years of sign-making experience between them and work on traditional hand-painted signs through to large format including for double-decker buses.
In keeping with their parent company's community ethos, The Sign Shop has supported high-profile events in Plymouth this summer including Armed Forces Day and the Marine City Festival.
Mr Tooze said: "We are passionate about Plymouth. We want to see the city thrive.
"We think it is important businesses do everything they can to support the city in what it is trying to achieve. We were delighted to play our part".
