Last chance to speak up on councillor numbers
Only a few days remain for people to have their say on the number of councillors who will represent West Devon Borough Council in the future.
The Local Government Boundary Commission for England is asking whether 31 councillors should continue to serve on the council or whether there should be more, or fewer, elected members in the future. The public consultation closes on October 14.
Max Caller, chairman of the commission, said: “This consultation is the first, but very important, part of our electoral review of West Devon Borough Council. It is your chance to have your say on how the borough is run.
“We want to make sure West Devon has the right number of councillors to be able to take decisions on behalf of residents in an effective way as well as being able to represent the interests of all local communities.
