Amy Sheppard, 21, of Albion Street, Exeter, has pleaded guilty to using threatening words and/or behaviour to cause harassment alarm or distress during an incident on July 22. She was fined £30. She was also fined £60 for being drunk and disorderly in a public place in Albion Street on July 29 alongside an order for costs of £15.

Daniel Currey, 27, of Oxford Street, Exeter, has been fined £125, ordered to pay costs of £75, and had three points put on his licence after admitting that he used his mobile phone while driving in Tiverton on April 1.

Daniel Forsythe, 25, of Dunsford, Exeter, had an offence of driving a car without insurance proven in his absence. He was fined £350 with £100 costs, while his licence was endorsed with six points.

Paul Harrison, 26, formerly of Exeter but currently of HMP Erlestoke, was given a 35-day sentence after admitting committing fraud by false representation to obtain medication from the St Thomas Health Centre in Exeter.

Daniel Leaman, 51, of Locarno Road, Exeter, has received a 12-month conditional discharge after admitting shoplifting from the Riverside antiques centre. He must pay the shop £40 in compensation.

Dean Gibson, 20, of Coronation Road, Exeter, pleaded guilty to stealing a cheque to the value of £613.16. He had been ordered to visit an attendance centre for 24 hours and will be under a curfew for 16 weeks. Gibson must also pay £200 compensation to his victim.

Amy England, 20, of Burnthouse Lane, Exeter, has pleaded guilty to an offence of assault by beating. She is now subject to a community order which states she must participate in a Thinking Skills course at the probation office for 18 days and carry out 100 hours of unpaid work in the community over the next year.

Richard Wills, 26, of Hawthorne Road, Exeter, has received a four-week prison sentence, suspended for two years, after admitting an offence of common assault against his mother and a charge of criminal damage. He was also ordered to pay £100 in compensation.

David McIntosh, 36, of Smythen Street, Exeter, was found guilty of an offence of assault by beating which occurred in Exeter on April 27. He was given a four-week prison sentence suspended for six months and must pay £100 compensation to his victim.
