William Roy Hart, 24, of St David's Hill, Exeter, admitted possessing 1.4 grammes of cocaine on July 10. Sentencing was adjourned.

Daniel Brian Michael Jones, 18, of no fixed address, admitted being drunk and disorderly in the Strand, Exmouth, on July 2, destroying a glass panel at the Imperial Hotel, Exmouth, on June 3, two charges of failing to surrender to bail and committing offences while subject to a suspended sentence order. He was sentenced to 16 weeks in a young offenders institution.

Michael Allen Pring, 23, of Myrtle Road, St Thomas, Exeter, admitted failing to comply with a community order. Sentence was adjourned.

Abigail Lily Rank, 18, of North Lawn Court, Heavitree, Exeter, had denied assaulting another woman September 28 last year but changed her plea to guilty. She was ordered to carry out 75 hours of unpaid work and pay a £75 fine.

Mathew Jeffrey Bolton, 18, of Gabriel House, Smythen Street, Exeter, admitted stealing Ray Ban sunglasses worth £199 from Dollond & Aitchison, possessing 60ml of methadone, and stealing a charity box from Clarkes Electrical. Sentence was adjourned.

Thomas Charles Chatterton, 18, of Newman Road, St Thomas, Exeter, admitted contravening an order to leave an anti-social behaviour zone when asked to do so by a police officer. He also admitted failing to comply with a youth rehabilitation order, two charges of using threatening words or behaviour and stealing two bottles of spirits from Somerfield supermarket in Okehampton. Sentencing was adjourned.

John Stewart Dolley, 46, of Collipriest, Tiverton, admitted assaulting Gareth Smith and Paul Evans on June 29 and damaging a BMW owned by Mr Evans. He was ordered to pay fines, compensation and costs totalling £235 and attend a Thinking Skills course.

Lee David Stynes, 27, of Fore Street, Silverton, admitted using threatening words or behaviour towards Darrell Marillier on June 30, assaulting Anthony Tinnion on May 6, and stealing a purse and its contents from a woman on July 30. Sentence was adjourned and Stynes was released on bail on the condition that he does not enter Sidwell Street, Exeter.

John Arthur Broomfield, 64, of Church Lane, Beaford, was found guilty of driving a Chrysler Voyager over the 30mph limit in Cowley Bridge Road on December 5, 2009. He was ordered to pay fines and costs of £340 and had three penalty points added to his licence.

Keith Curtis, 58, of Palm Close, Exmouth, was ordered to pay fines and court costs of £135 after admitting riding a Honda motorcycle when it did not have a valid MoT test certificate.

Gavin John Churchill, 32, of Westfield, Bradninch, was found guilty in his absence of driving a Ford on the B3181 when its wheel nuts were unsuitable. He was ordered to pay fines and costs of £425 and had three penalty points added to his licence.

Adam Lane, 29, of Merlin Crescent, Exeter, was found guilty in his absence of using a vehicle without third-party insurance. Sentence was adjourned.

Terence Cooling, 50, of School Street, Sidmouth, was ordered to pay fines and costs of £160, and had three penalty points added to his licence, after he admitted driving a Mercedes Benz lorry on Bittern Road, Exeter, while on a mobile telephone.

Claire Louise Flowers, 31, of King Edward Street, Exeter, admitted driving without insurance. She was ordered to pay fines and court costs of £115.

Lee James Griffiths, 26, of Bathern Road, Exeter, was found guilty in his absence of speeding. Griffiths was caught breaking the 40mph limit in Rydon Lane. He was ordered to pay fines and court costs of £450.
