Six fire crews called to blaze which destroyed barn near Paignton
A road near Paignton is still closed today after a fire ripped through a barn.
The fire service were called Shiphay Farm, Compton, near Paignton at 11:37pm yesterday after reports of a fire.

Six appliances from Paignton, Torquay and Totnes, including an incident support unit, were sent to the scene.
On arrival the barn was well alight and crews used breathing apparatus and hose reel jets to extinguish the fire which measured approximately 13 metres by 8 metres.

The Environment Agency were informed after asbestos was found and decontamination procedures were implemented.
At 4am relief crews from Ashburton and Brixham arrived on the scene and are now damping down.
Gropers Lane in Compton is closed in both directions near the Windthorn Lane junction.
Fire investigation officers will be investigating the cause of the blaze today.
