An escaped cow, stray horses and overturned vehicles stretch emergency services in Devon
Police and emergency services have been overwhelmed this morning after numerous crashes and reports of animals on the region's roads.
At 5:45am a car overturned in the Atherington area, just outside of Umberleigh.

The silver Peugeot 206 was found on its roof on the B3227.
Paramedics were called and the female driver was found to have suffered minor injuries.

A recovery vehicle was called at 7:47am to remove the damaged car.
A car left the road near Sidmouth this morning, closing the road temporarily.
The grey Fiat was driving along the A3052 at Bowd, at the Four Elms Hill when it crashed and left the road at 6:30am, say police.
The male driver of the car, from Beer, was not injured and the road was cleared by 7:45am.
At 7:55am a man escaped serious injury after the car he was driving overturned in Exeter.
The blue Honda Accord, registered to Crediton, crashed on St Andrew's Road in Exeter, leaving broken glass on the road.
The driver, aged 48, was out of the car when paramedics arrived.
He had suffered cuts and bruises and was complaining of a pain in his arm.
The road was blocked and traffic in the area was reported as very busy but vehicles were able to get through.
The Highways Agency were called to clear debris from the road.
The area was cleared at 9:40am.
On the A38 at Haldon Hill, at Chudleigh, a Nissan Navara smashed in to the central reservation at 8:35am.
The driver, a male, was said to be sat in the car following the crash.
The crash occurred towards Exeter just past the Chudleigh turn off.
Police heading to the scene were reportedly caught in the heavy traffic building up behind the crash.
Highways Agency were also called to the crash.
Two car collided in a country lane in Sparkwell, blocking the road at 8am.
The crash occurred near the Dartmoor Zoological Park at Black Land cross.
A Suzuki Swift and a yellow Citroen crashed head on, say police.
No injuries were reported but the road was blocked.

The black and white animal was seen 100 yards down the slip road after the Drumbridges roundabout at Heathfield towards Exeter.
