Two evacuated as fire damages laundry firm
Two women were evacuated after a fire broke out at a business in South Devon early yesterday. Two fire crew from Ivybridge and Plympton were sent to the incident at Laundry Solutions, in Costly Street, Ivybridge, at 6.15am when police officers reported smoke coming from a window which was hot to the touch. The firefighters found the fire on the ground floor of the two-storey building. The cause is currently under investigation. The ground floor was severely damaged by fire and smoke. Two women were evacuated, uninjured, prior to the arrival of the fire service.
