BIDEFORD-BASED BAND BOARDWALK ISABELLA BREAKOUT
Appearance on BBC Introducing heralds first release
Reconnection Records loudly presents the lead out single, Resurrection Man, from the band Boardwalk Isabella, taken from their forthcoming debut album, Headed For The Promised Land.
Described by BBC Radio DJ, James Santer as, 'a phenomenal record that makes you want to a shout out a gospel-style Hallelujah!' and by Thom Frazier of Found in Music as, ' all guns blazing pneumatic dancing rock with a killer hook – it’s Lee Van Cleef made into music,' Resurrection Man is released worldwide on 19th August 2013 and is available for digital download via iTunes, Amazon and other online outlets.
About Boardwalk Isabella: The band, named after the misheard pronunciation of a classic sports car, were formed in North Devon in 2011 by Singer/Songwriter, James C Hughes, former New Wave bassist and gun-slinging session man with a ton of credits to his name. Resurrection Man is the first release from the album, Headed For The Promised Land, written and recorded over the last 18 months by Hughes, and featuring Hartland lead guitarist Nathan Porter. It has been described as 'an amazing debut' by Pete Maher, mastering engineer to U2, The Rolling Stones, The White Stripes and The Killers.
Boardwalk Isabella will be taking to the road on a promotional tour with new recruits ex-Tinie Tempah drummer, Steve Tanton and rhythm guitarist George Thomas, who will be joined by backing singers, percussionists and a brass section.
The Video for Resurrection Man can be seen on YouTube and features many scenes of Bideford, including the town streets, the Tarka Trail and the Old Bridge, as you have never seen them before!
