Further heavy rain in store for flood ravaged Devon
Officials have warned that heavy rain sweeping through Devon over the rest of the weekend could cause further misery to already badly afflicted areas.
The Met Office have issued an amber warning and said further bands of heavy rain accompanied by strong winds are expected to move north and east across the South West through Saturday and early Sunday.
They added: "Given that the ground is already saturated, the public should be prepared for the risk of localised flooding from both rivers and surface water. This could well lead to disruption to travel, with a low likelihood of severe disruption, particularly in parts of Devon and Cornwall."
Flooding continues to wreak havoc across the county, with Braunton in North Devon the worst hit so far, with two severe flood warnings still in place for the River Caen.

There are now fears over the level of the River Exe, which is swollen and was described by PCSO Rich Shelton as "dangerously high."
The Environment Agency currently have four severe flood warnings, 65 flood warnings and 60 flood alerts in force across the South West.
The A377 at Umberleigh was reported closed at 4pm due to flooding.
Surface water caused dangerous driving conditions on the roads that did remain open, with accidents reported on the A30 near Okehampton and on minor roads across Devon.
