“ I stayed for one night in room 7. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very nicely furnished with comfortable bed, quality fittings and lovely view. This room and the large bathroom were all immaculately clean. The modern bathroom also has quality, modern fittings including nice toiletries. The hotel overlooks gardens and has a splendid coast and sea view. Very good value, I would recommend! Stayed December 2012, travelled solo (trip advisor) ”

We're famous for our carvery. But our bar is perhaps Torquay's best kept secret. With real ales, fine wines and all your favourite tipples at your disposal, there's nothing stopping you from having a good time.

Lovely Hotel and Great Value

Good Break
“We stayed at the Royal for our wedding anniversary, We stayed in room 5 it had a great sea view .The room was very clean and very warm , A large double shower tho not that powerful but plenty of hot water . Bed was king size and very comfortable making for a good nights sleep. The food in the restaurant was very well cooked and the service was excellent . We enjoyed our stay at the Royal and are looking forward to going back there later in the year .
