A charity shop in Devon is appealing for expert help to identify vintage photographic equipment which has been donated. The items were gifted to Barnstaple Rotary charity shop from the estate of the late Dr Eric Lindsay, who died recently at the age of 93.

He was well known in North Devon for his medical skills but also for his passion for the Rotary movement and photography, especially cine film.

His son, John, came across vintage photographic equipment while clearing his father's estate and in line with the doctor's commitment to the Rotary Club donated them to the shop.

Shop manager Penny Furseman said: "We have searched the internet, asked around our membership and even asked the former photographer and television cameraman Tony Freeman for help, but there are still some items that elude us."
