Your letters: Duty of care
I note that A Rennie (February 13) says walkers should walk on the right side of a path facing oncoming traffic, to mitigate surprises by cyclists.
Good advice, I am sure. But perhaps A Rennie has some advice for people who are not young, walking on a narrow footpath shared with cyclists who approach from behind quietly and very fast.
Perhaps pedestrians should use mirrors, or just give in and go home?
Actually the answer is consideration from all cyclists – they have a duty of care.
