Your letters: Take action on pavement parking
I wholeheartedly agree with Alf Cullicott’s letter (Thursday) regarding parking.
In our small street, I can count up to six work vans either parked outside people’s houses or mounted half on the pavement and road.
This can present numerous problems for pedestrians, particularly those with children, prams or pushchairs and for elderly or disabled people.
Work vans should be left on companies’ premises, instead of clogging up our already problematical parking areas.
Often the owners have cars too, and I have noticed how drivers will park their vans on the street (or pavement), while parking their own cars on their driveways or hardstandings. Come on Plymouth City Council, it’s time to take action.
