About a long term user of Disabled Afloat Riverboats Trust holidays.
Shortly before last Christmas John died. John had been a regular passenger with DART for many years. He started coming in the 1990's when the original DART boat was operating on the Rivers Severn and Avon and continued right up until 2012. Despite a number of health problems associated with his hydrocephalus John was always cheerful and ready for new experiences. When a DART holiday became available on a new route John would be there. 2012 was no exception when John joined us in Loughborough where as well as boating we stopped off to enjoy a trip on the Grand Central railway, a visit to the Pumping Station Museum in Leicester and visits to the Bell Foundry and Carillon in Loughborough itself. It was great knowing you John. RIP
