A NEW business in Witheridge allows horse lovers to take a pony on a picnic.

Pony Picnics was launched last week by Faye Stacey from Horseford Farm in East Worlington.

The business offers customers the chance to go pony trekking through the countryside, stopping for a picnic or cream tea along the way.

Faye said: "It's a rare opportunity for people to get out, enjoy the countryside and get a hands-on experience with our native Devon ponies.

"These ponies have great personalities and they're the perfect size for both adults and children to appreciate.

"No previous experience of horses is necessary as we provide all the necessary safety equipment and an experienced helper for each pony on the trek."
