Top award for telecoms firm

Exeter-based digital telecoms team has won two national sector awards.

South West Communications Group was named overall reseller of the year at the national Comms Business Awards in London.

It was commended for the work it is carrying out at North Bristol NHS Trust, which includes the installation of a 7,000-user telephone system for the Trust's two hospitals, Southmead and Frenchay.

The company was also category winner in reseller of the year award for organisations with a turnover of more than £5 million.

The Group's work will continue in Bristol over the coming years as the Trust builds its new technology-led hospital with a telecoms system eventually serving up to 9,000 members of staff across 200 NHS sites.

Sarah Flowers, sales director of South West Communications Group, said they were thrilled and added: "It is the result of some outstanding work from many of our members of staff.

"To win the Overall Reseller of the Year award was the icing on the cake – we are extremely proud of everyone associated with this project."
