Do you remember fish and chip van?
WHILE reminiscing with old friends in Plymouth, particularly ones who lived in Ernesettle in the late 1940s and 50s, I wonder if any of your readers can shed any light on a huge long cream-coloured fish and chip van that used to trade there from the 1950s? It was well lit and had windows all around it and thick chrome bars at foot level. I believe the corners were angled off too.
It also used to trade outside the State cinema in St Budeaux.
Looking back it was an intriguing vehicle and quite unique I'm sure, as we have never seen another like it.
I imagine it had an American influence and maybe custom made.
