Zenas Restaurant in Barnstaple was voted the Best In North Devon 2010. It's not hard to see why, offering seafood, bistro style, light bites & starters for sharing all at prices to suit every customer.
We now have our NEW MENUS available to take away – so hurry and it's not long till the spring season!
Main course start from as little as £8.95, lunches from £4.00 and sandwiches from only £3.50. You can choose something tasty and home made from the Daily Specials Board, or just pop in for coffee and a slice of cake!
Zenas is also prides itself on their beautiful setting, our restaurant is fully air conditioned and on those summer days enjoy your meal alfresco in our enchanting court yard. The restaurant is wheel chair friendly and has easy access from the Main High Street In Barnstaple.
Live Music and Artists perform every Saturday, but weather permitting! We also host the popular Physic Suppers on the 1st Friday of every month for those who are interested in having one to one reading and a bite to eat! In addition to this we also run French Conversation evening on the 1st Thursday of every month.

Excellent location!
“This is a great restaurant and a fab place to sit and have a coffee or glass of wine in the centre of town. Its right next to the Pannier Market, near all the shops and has no passsing traffic so peaceful and smog free!! They also hire the venue for weddings and parties - one of my friends went to a birthday party there recently and said it was really good. Highly recommend! ”

lunch time menu great prices
“Had 8 friend down for the weekend took them down to Zena's cafe bar IMPRESSED lot of them come from a city and said the waiter or awesome to memorized our orders, the coffee to die for :) and the chicken sandwich very good at 4.95 many thanks BOB ”

Wow!! what a find
“I was wondering around Barnstaple as I am new to the town and came across this fabulous restaurant, I thought I was in France, the quality of the food Excellent, the Staff were tip top, and the atmosphere was delightful. Well Done!! I will be back with friends often”

A very good restaurant
“Being a rep in a strange town often leaves you wondering where to go for a nice quiet coffe and sandwich in nice surroundings, but to my surprise I stumbled upon ZENA'S in Market Street, Fabulous food, reasonalbly priced , from Coffee and Toast to full on meal, tasty sandwiches and jacket potatoes also available for lunch time, prices starting from as little as £3.50 . The staff were very nice and polite, this is a place to visit. I will return when in area again.”

Delicious food
“Zena's is a fabulous, popular restaurant serving really nicely cooked food with high quality indgredients made into unique dishes. The scallops are yummy and so is all the meat I have tasted there. In fact, so is EVERYTHING I've tasted there! It can get quite busy, so it's good to book. Being on a pedestrianised route it's quite peaceful outside - no revving cars whizzing by or anything. Lovely little place. ”
