“ i have eaten at the the golden panda many times and have always been happy with the food, but the golden buddha was a massive let down. maybe because i visited thailand last year and know what the food should taste like, and how it should be presented or possibly just because the same chinese staff that work in the golden panda dont know how to cook thai food. me and the party i attended with all found it to be way over priced for the quality of the food and the service we received and as word of mouth works both ways none of my friends or family will be taking to the GB for a meal any time soon. wish i could give this half a star! ”

Golden Buddha overrated

“This is a very average Thai. Oily and salty and not sure how fresh. Chicken was tough and overcooked. Sirloin a fair amount of grisle. Thong Dams in Dulverton is far superior in every respect. The prices are almost the same as well.”

Excellent!

“I have been to this restaurant on numerous occaisions. It is quite simply fantastic. Great atmosphere and deor. Super efficient and friendly service backed up by consistently good, top quality food. My only complaint is that it is a tad on the expensive side, ........ Best place to eat in Tivvy in my opinion! .......Enjoy”

Thai's it soooo good?

“I've eaten here several times now and it is probably fair to see it is THE best restaurant for foreign cuisine in Tiverton, maybe even Mid Devon? It has a fantastic atmosphere which is boosted by the interior decor which has an Asian theme, without any tat or tackiness. The service is fantasic as the waitresses are so attentive and the food is of a high standard. I have never had a bad experience here staff even gave me a silk tie for my birthday (which was the first time I went there, I must add)”

Thai Lager is Tasty

“I went there fora sweet 'n' sour chicken - was very happy with the chicken and the veg that came with it. The service was great, and they certainly new how to keep the Thai larger flowing.”

Good time had by all

“Went to the Thai for a birthday celebration, the staff couldn't do enough for us, there were eight of us and we had a set meal with a few additions, it was excellent, also we had an ice cream with a candle, and a little present for the birthday girl.
I give it top marks, and a very pleasant evening was had by all.”

The Golden Buddha is one of the finest if not thee..

“The Golden Buddha is one of the finest if not thee finest restaurant in town with beautifully presented, tasty food. The service is top notch and you won't find more polite, presentable or helpful staff anywhere else in the area.

The prices are reasonable and I know numerous people that travel from out of town to eat there. Definatly deserves a five star rating from me.

As Mary, I have to RECOMMEND this place to anyone who enjoys good Thai food in a nice and relaxed atmosphere. Or even if you have never had Thai before, if you like trying new things, try this!”
