HOW pleased I am to see that Mr Frederick Humble and all his ship mates will be receiving their long-awaited Arctic Convoy Medal. Well done Mr Colvile MP for presenting their case to Mr Cameron.

Not long ago there was a programme on the television called 'Who betrayed the bomber boys?' The answer came at the very end of this programme with one word: Churchill.

I would suggest that Mr Cameron and Sir John Holmes should view this programme and just maybe they might take a different view of the Bomber Boys, who were all volunteers and who lost over 50,000 of their colleagues on the sorties over Germany.

We have been recognised with a bar to one of our medals but not a medal.

Those who flew up to D-Day received the Air Crew Europe Medal; at least recognise those who flew after D-Day and award them the same medal instead of a bar.
