There's more sleet and snow on the way for Devon
Weather warnings remain in place for the Westcountry with forecasts of more sleet and snow to come.
The Met Office yesterday issued an amber warning – the second highest on its scale – for widespread disruption caused by further sleet and snow.

Last night, the worst affected areas were expected to be East Devon and into Somerset while yellow warnings remain in place for the rest of Devon and Cornwall.

A spokesman for the Exeter-based Met Office said the public "should be aware of possible disruption to transport".
"Where rain or sleet is currently falling, this is expected to turn increasingly to snow during this afternoon and evening, even at low levels," he said.
"Some 2-5cm (0.8-2ins) of snow is likely in places with 10cm (4ins) or more within the amber warning area and on high ground.
"This could be locally heavy and fall in a short period of time, perhaps just a few hours.
"The risk extends towards the northeast of the warning area later in the period and persists overnight."

“I don't listen to the doom-mongering met men.
In the absence of any seaweed, I'll just look out of the window and SEE what the weather is up to.”
