It's true for tigers too – the box is often better than the gift
Curiosity quickly got the better of these three tigers who enthusiastically sank their claws into the mystery present left in their enclosure at Dartmoor Zoo.
Sisters Blotch and Stripe along with younger brother Vladimir did not take long to demolish the colourfully wrapped packages given on Boxing Day. The gifts contained a sledge made by students from Bicton College and some tasty morsels of meat.
Head keeper Mike Downman said: "I think the tigers got as much satisfaction from ripping the presents apart as what was actually in them."
