ROWERS from Dartmouth proved they love a life on the ocean wave by powering 21 miles down the River Thames and helping raise money for charity.

The Sea Girls made up of Becky Marsh, Jodie Newstead, Kate Cooke, Lucy Swash, Maya Hatton and Jo Hayden completed the Great River Race on September 15 in three hours and 15 minutes.

The 21-mile gruelling challenge helped them raise funds for the Sea-Changers, a new marine conservation charity.

Becky said: "It was a really good day. Obviously it was hard work but really good fun."

“Sparro and the other contributors who gave a 'green arrow' rating to your comments need to research the Great River Race on the Internet. I suggest 'Google'. The details were included very clearly in the Herald Express news item. The race is an annual event and the course is well documented.
The comment on this occasion about part stories is therefore superfluous.”

“could have stated where on the thames, out of interest, but it seem this paper only prints part stories”
